December 2013: For the first time researchers and experts on asbestos from Australia and across New Zealand came together in Canterbury to discuss asbestos management in the rebuild. More than 400 people attended a trade breakfast on 5 December 2013, followed by a trans-Tasman forum which was attended by close to 200 people.
