Notifications  
If someone has been seriously injured, become seriously ill, or died as a result of work – phone us on 0800 030 040 straight away. We have staff available to respond to these 24/7.

Notifications made through our online form won't be monitored between 12pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and 8.30am on Monday 6 January 2025.
If you’re not sure if you need to notify us, use our online notification system and we’ll respond to you after 6 January 2025.

General enquiries made by phone or email after 12pm on Tuesday 24 December will be responded to from Monday 6 January 2025. This does not apply to notifications made by phone on 0800 030 040.

Asbestos removal licence holders
This is the public register of asbestos removal licence holders. Licence holders are permitted under regulation 54 & 56 of the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016 (the Regulations) to remove asbestos.

Asbestos assessor licence holders
This is the public register of assessor licence holders. Licence holders are permitted under regulation 57 of the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016 (the Regulations) to undertake air monitoring, perform clearance inspections, and issue clearance certificates relating to Class A asbestos removal work.

Understanding registration status
Current means the operator has been granted a licence and is permitted to carry out functions of that licence under Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016.
ACTIVE-renewal in progress means the operator has submitted a renewal application and the licence remains valid until an outcome has been reached, even if the date of that expiry passes.
Suspended means the operator’s licence is suspended and they are not authorised to carry out functions of that licence.
Inactive registration status
Expired means the operator’s licence is longer valid and they are not permitted to carry out functions of that licence.
Cancelled means the operator’s licence was cancelled on the date listed and they are no longer authorised to carry out functions of that licence.
