A regulatory function policy explains what WorkSafe is trying to achieve by carrying out our regulatory functions and the high level approach that we take to how we will effect our role as a regulator

Operational policies

Operational policies provide the detail of the activities that contribute to programmes and overall interventions (including degrees of discretion etc) that achieve the objective of the legislation. They provide context and parameters to support discretionary decision making

WorkSafe positions

Our positions discuss our approach to the interpretation of a key concept of law where there are implications for the regulated sector. This helps to enhance transparency and understanding of the WorkSafe approach.

The Enforcement decision-making model guides our inspectors through the necessary thought process to decide on an enforcement response appropriate to the circumstances
