NFA provides log export services to the forestry industry. See how a SafePlus onsite assessment encouraged workers at NFA to contribute ideas to improve work processes and become more involved in health and safety roles.
NFA's goal is to make sure their people are fully involved in how the business manages its health and safety, and to focus on opportunities to raise performance. In the past, NFA had passed compliance audits without any problems. They chose to do a SafePlus onsite assessment because they wanted a more people-focused view of how they were doing and where to improve. Since completing the assessment, there’s been a lot more discussion between managers and workers. Workers are more involved in how things are run on site and have confidence that their ideas are being heard. This has led to the number of improvement ideas “snow-balling” and workers wanting to take on more responsibility.
