Update on course registrations
Delivery of this course is currently halted. This page will be updated once we are able to provide further information about future course availability.
Micro-credentials recognise the achievement of specific skills, experience, or knowledge.
If you are a HASANZ-registered health and safety professional, this micro-credential is the new, WorkSafe-recognised path for you to become a SafePlus assessor.
You will learn and demonstrate the skills and knowledge needed to deliver the SafePlus Onsite Assessment and Advisory Service.
He ara matatau SafePlus assessor training
This training course is delivered online over 12 weeks, with tutor supervision. Candidates will create and submit a portfolio online for assessment.
What SafePlus assessors do
In a SafePlus assessment, assessors work closely with people across a range of roles and levels, to understand the organisation’s leadership, worker engagement, and risk management capability in practice. This understanding is built largely from interviews, conversations, and observing practices.
Independent SafePlus assessors provide their clients with detailed recommendations on where and how to make improvements.
SafePlus is complementary to other health and safety assessment tools. Its focus is on behaviours, beliefs, and attitudes within a business that shape how work occurs.
