We wish you a safe and relaxing holiday.
The seasons are changing and daylight saving time is almost upon us. So now is a good time to check on the amount of sleep you’re getting.
People who are tired and fatigued are 30% more likely to have an accident.
Work and personal demands can often make it difficult to get the sleep we need to function safely throughout the day. 43% of workers in high-risk sectors reported working when overtired.
Fatigue is a state of physical or mental exhaustion which can negatively impact our feeling of wellbeing, productivity, and ability to function safely. Being fatigued can lead to mistakes, with potentially serious consequences for both workers and businesses.
Both businesses and workers have a responsibility to manage fatigue and the risks from it.
