On 11 March 2019 Mr Joji Bilo was killed at work. He was employed by Fulton Hogan Limited. That night he was working on resealing work of a section of State Highway 1, in the Ngauranga Gorge in Wellington. He was hit by a driverless, runaway heavy truck. He died at the scene.
