This is the Health and Safety at Work (Mining Operations and Quarrying Operations - Prescribed Competency Requirements for Certificates of Competence) Safe Work Instrument 2023.

It replaces certificate of competence requirements for the extractives industry which were previously set by a notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Have your say on proposed amendment SWI

WorkSafe proposes to make an amendment safe work instrument that would modify some of the prescribed competency requirements for certificates of competence, which are currently set in the 2023 SWI.

The consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 15 November 2024.
