Notifications
If someone has been seriously injured, become seriously ill, or died as a result of work – phone us on 0800 030 040 straight away. We have staff available to respond to these 24/7.

Notifications made through our online form won't be monitored between 12pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and 8.30am on Monday 6 January 2025.
If you’re not sure if you need to notify us, use our online notification system and we’ll respond to you after 6 January 2025.

WorkSafe has exempted Clelands Timber Ltd from compliance with regulation 11.37 of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017.
An exemption has been granted by WorkSafe in accordance with section 220 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 to Clelands Timber Ltd to provide fire rating to one wall of its timber treatment plant building in alignment with the fire rating of the other walls.
The exemption is made to vary condition 9 of an existing decision SEP1631 as follows:
9. By 30 November 2018, Clelands Timber Ltd must:
- Locate the tank fill point outside the building at least two metres from any opening into the building (see AS1940:2004), section 5.3.2(c)) and
- Upgrade the fire rating of eastern wall of the treatment plant building to no less than -/240/60 FRR to a height of 5.1 metres.
The exemption takes effect on 30 May 2018 and expires on 30 May 2023 unless it is sooner replaced or revoked.
